Miner, then engineer; graduated from Moscow Aviation Institute, 1954; was involved in the development of Vostok, Voskhod and Soyuz-spacecrafts; was selected as cosmonaut on 27.05.1968 (TsKBEM-1); he was assigned as flight engineer on Soyuz 13; but he and his crewmate Commander Vorobiyov had personal differences (prime crew was then grounded) ; later engineer at NPOE; presently retired.
