Flight

Launch from the Baikonur Cosmodrome; landing 150 km northwest of Tselinograd.

It was an Earth observation mission. First time of using the GDR built multispectral camera MKF-6 for intensive studying geological characteristics of the Earth's surface for economic purposes. The camera was manufactured by Carl Zeis in Jena. Also biological experiments were performed.
